Lovlina, Mary and other Indian boxers to train in Italy

GUWAHATI, May 19: Assam boxer Lovlina Borogohain, who are among the probable of Indian team for forthcoming Asian Games, left to Italy with the other boxers last night to attend an extensive training camp. Apart from training the Indian boxers will also take part in different international competitions which will be the part of the preparation for the Asian Games.

The secretary of the Assam Boxing Association Hemanta Kalita, who is also the treasurer of the Boxing Federation of India, informed The Sentinel that Boxing Federation of India has drawn out special training schedule for both male and women boxers who are in the probable list of Asian Games. Apart from extensive training in foreign camps the boxers will also participate in a few key tournaments. Apart from Lovlina the other boxers who will train in Italy are MC Mary Kom, Monika, Sarjubala Devi, Pinki Rani, Meena Maisnam, Sonia Lather, Shashi Chopra, Laishram Sarita Devi, Pavitra, Simranjit Kaur, Pooja, Saweety Boora, Seema Poonia and Lalfakmawii Ralte.
