Lyu breaks javelin Asian record

Berlin, May 27: Two-time World Championships medallist Lyu Huihui of China improved her own javelin throw Asian record by 10 centimetres en route to take the top honours at the Hallesche Werfertage throws competitions here. The 28-year-old Lyu on Saturday registered a winning mark of 67.69 metres from her last-round effort to win the women’s javelin event on the opening day of the two-day annual tournament. IANS
