Man allegedly commits suicide inside Diphu Market

Diphu: A 48-year old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan inside one wholesale godown on Saturday morning at Diphu Market near the Glass corner.

The deceased has been identified as Sakti Ranjan Das( 48) son of Late. Sunil Ranjan Das of rent house Sitla bari under Diphu Police Station.

Sakti Ranjan Das is the Shopkeeper manager of DK enterprise Diphu market.

Speaking to the media, Enterprise owner Dipok Ghose said, Sakti came on Saturday morning and re-open the shop along with his staff and had a cup of tea then went towards the godown and didn't returned back. Later, we found him hanging from the ceiling fan.

Meanwhile, Police along with Karbi Anglong Magistrate Upa Sharma Dutta and Dipen Das OC Diphu police station reached the spot and carried out an investigation in connection to the matter.

It may be mentioned that the body of the deceased person had been sent for Post Mortem at Diphu Civill Hospital.
