Man allegedly lynched to death by nephew in Lanka, Case Registered

Lanka: A man was allegedly lynched to death by his own nephew on Sunday night over a property and land dispute at Jajori block of Kaki Police Station in Lanka under Hojai District.

As per the version of the statement of the wife of the deceased person identified as Mukutur Rahman was brutally lynched to death by his own nephew and five more miscreants over a property dispute.

The incident was reported at around 9.30 pm when Mukutur Rahman was having his dinner with his family members. His nephew Dhan Ali and five other miscreants have reportedly dragged him outside the house and attacked him with sticks, machete and dagger.

Mukutur Rahman was reported to have died on the spot. The miscreants had also threatened the wife of the deceased Mukutur Rahman when she came into rescue her husband.

The alleged miscreants have been absconding from the area, informed the officer in charge of Kaki police station to The Sentinel Digital.

Meanwhile, the entire matter has been investigated under Kaki police station.

Also, a case has been registered against Mukutur Rahman's nephew Dhan Ali five other miscreants.

It may be mentioned that apart from Dhan Ali one of the accomplices was identified as Saidul Islam, however, the names of the other miscreants were not ascertained yet by the police.
