Man arrested for fraud

DEMOW, April 17:  One Dayal Chetia of Shiba Phukan of Baruah Changmai Gaon in Demow, who allegedly took money from local youths promising job opportunities , was beaten up by locals at Duliagaon here and subsequently  handed over to Demow Police this morning.  The local people alleged that Chetia was taking money from the unemployed youths of the village and said that he would provide job in Dibrugarh Gas Cracker Limited. People also alleged that Chetia was also involved in various other illegal activities.  Police in Demow Police Station interrogating him.
