DEMOW, March 16: A man was allegedly murdered by his brother-in-law at Demow Dehajan in Sivasagar district on Sunday night. Ganesh Dhubi allegedly went to his sister’s house at midnight in a drunken condition and beat up his brother-in-law Paresh Kabarak with a bamboo stick in front of his sister and nephew. He then fled from there. Kabarak was critically injured. He died some time later. Sources alleged that there were problems between Kabarak and Dhubi. While Dhubi is absconding, Kabarak’s body has been sent for postmortem.
