MDC Mawlai convenes special consultation meeting

SHILLONG, Feb 5: In view of the Presbyterian (KJP) Synod meeting to be held at Mawlai Presbyterian Church on March 12, MDC Mawlai constituency, PT Sawkmie cum vice Chairman, Meghalaya Employment & Generation Council, today convened a special consultation meeting with different government departments.

The meeting was convened separately with the SP, Shillong City In-Charge, Traffic, the District Health Medical Officer and three PHE Division including the EE (Investigation) EE (GSWS) and EE (Electrical). In the meeting Sawkmie has also urged the Engineer PHE to take the full responsibility of providing the ample supply of drinking water during this meet here on March 9th, 10th,11th & 12th so that the people and volunteers preparing for this meeting will face no hurdles. He has also urged the D.H.M.O to look at the presence of the doctors and nurses including medicines, Ambulance and other health requirements related  from the first day of this Synod meet. Relating traffic, Sawkmie has urged the SP Traffic to take full care of the same from March 9th onwards till the 12th since thousands of people are expected to come at the meeting especially on March 12 which is a Sunday.

Informing that all the officials from the department has assured to take full care of this upcoming Presbyterian (KJP) Synod meet , Sawkmie further said, “I have also met the Minister in-charge PWD , M.M. Dango, and urged him to look at the repair and renovation of roads etc and the maintence of cleanliness.”
