AGARTALA, Aug 3: A six-member delegation of Leftist leaders will visit Tripura to have an on the spot study of the conditions of farmers and agricultural workers in the state after the BJP led coalition government came to power.
Renowned social activist Medha Patkar will be in the team which will visit various places including hilly areas of the State on 4 and 5 August and will share their experiences in a press conference at the end of their visit.
Apart from Medha Patekar, other members of the team are Raju Setty, Joy Prakash Narayan, K K Rajesh, Rajaram Singh and Ashok Dave. Three members of parliament Jitan Choudhury, Sankar Prasad Datta and Jharna Das Baidya also will join the team. All India Krishak Sabha leader Rash Behari Ghosh accompanied by Pabitra Kar and Narayan Deb informed regarding the programme in a press conference on Friday.
