Meet to improve education scenario

ITANAGAR, July 13: A District Level Executive Committee (DLEC) meeting was convened on Friday in the Conference Hall of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex in the presence of the Local MLA Techi Kaso and attended by the officers of all line departments besides officers from the Education department to finalize the proposals under Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY). The scheme aims to improve the overall quality of education. Kaso stressed that the Capital Complex has the highest population and the maximum numbers of schools are in Capital Complex. Therefore, collaborative effort of the district administration along with the Education department is required to improve the overall education scenario.

He said that while every requirement of a school cannot be met, the works need to be prioritized. He further hoped that under the DC, significant changes would be made in the Capital Complex especially in the field of education.

The DC also stressed that the results of the Xth and XIIth had thrown very poor light on the education sector and the priority should be to improve the education scenario through both qualitative and quantitative achievements .
