Meghalaya Day Award Recipients Announced By Meghalaya Cabinet

Shillong: The Meghalaya Cabinet on Wednesday announced the names of the Meghalaya Day award recipients for the year 2019. This year’s winner of the U Tirot Sing Syiem award in Arts and Literacy is Dr P Nongtdu, Principal of Jaintia East College. The Pa Togan Sangma award for Social Service went to Rev George Mamalassary, former Bishop of Tura Archdiocese. Meanwhile, the U Kiang Nangbah Award for excellence in Sports went to state taekwondo player Eugene K Marak.
