Meghalaya Government Ties Up with Ayush to Attract More Visitors

Meghalaya is a naturally rich state and is pulling an uncountable number of tourists every year, but irrespective of that, the Meghalaya government is thinking out a new prospective to attract more and more tourists to the state. As the latest step taken by the Meghalaya Government, it has now collaborated with Ayush wherein it would provide Ayush treatment to people for several diseases.

This fresh approach by the Meghalaya government is commendable as it has now targeted at pulling people not only for its spectacular beauty but for disease treatment purposes as well. The Meghalaya government has already discussed the matter with the Kerala Government during Health and Family Welfare Minister, AL Hek’s visit to Kerala recently.

The northeastern state is greatly impressed and influenced by Kerala has taken up Ayush treatment and how it focuses on it for attracting tourists from across the world. Speaking on this subject, the state minister said that their government too wants to take up Ayush treatment in the same celebrated way as Kerala has taken it and has a vision of promoting Ayush for the treatment of several health problems. He stated that this would be one step towards advancing the healthcare practices of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy hospitals, clinics etc as well.

Replying to the queries made by people, Hek said that people have recently started realizing the importance of natural remedies and are seen to have approached the Ayush doctors and clinics for healing their health issues.

However, why only Meghalaya, the central government too is eyeing at Ayush and is planning to promote it in a big way so that the foreign tourists find another reason to visit India. Indian yoga has already caught the attention of the international tourists and now the Ayush treatment is certainly going to do good to the nation.

The Meghalaya state minister also discussed ways of promoting Meghalaya tourism in the country with the Union Minister of State for Tourism, KJ Alphonse. They have come up with the idea of organising Megha festival in the state which will open the door to know more about Meghalaya for other people.
