Mein suggests single agency for MsDP

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

Itagar, June 10: Aruchal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chow Mein stated that multi-executing agency for implementation of various schemes of Multi-Sectoral Development Programme (MsDP) is not appropriate.  He advised for setting up a single executing agency for effective monitoring and better outcome of the schemes sanctioned. Mein has called for evolving a policy in this regard. He made this observation while attending the departmental Review Meeting of all the schemes implemented by the department of Social Justice & Empowerment and Tribal Affairs (SJETA) here yesterday.  Mein, who is also the Social Justice & Empowerment and Tribal Affairs (SJETA) minister, suggested the secretary SJETA to develop a mechanism to implement all the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) in a more effective and result oriented way and called for a meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs).  He said that all the necessary steps should be taken to implement the ‘Sugmaya Bharat Abhiyan’ for barrier free access to disabled persons in all the government buildings and public transport system. He directed the department to submit proposals to Fince Department for obtaining the fund for Community Based rehabilitation Workers (CBRWS) to clear honorarium due for the year 2014-15, an official release informed here today.
