Minister calls for proper implementation of Saubhagya scheme

ITANAGAR, June 6: Arunachal Pradesh Power Minister Tamiyo Taga has directed the Power department to ensure proper execution of works under the Saubhagya scheme, so that every household in the state has electricity. He said this during a meeting with officials of the department here to finalize the State Annual Development Agenda (SADA) for 2018-19. The Power Commissioner along with the Chief Engineers of the department’s eastern and western zones was also present at the meeting. The Minister directed the department to process the case for vetting from the planning department. Observing that the allocation given to one of the revenue-earning departments, “especially in maintaining the power systems,” was inadequate, he directed the department to “project the same with justification.” The Minister advised the Commissioner to liaise with the Ministry for getting early approval to the DPR uploaded by the department, an official release informed here today.
