Minor girl sexually assaulted

GAON, April 5: goan Itachali TOP police on Thursday morning rescued a minor girl in a critical state from Mukut Sarma Chariali in gaon town after she was allegedly sexually harassed by a miscreant. According to sources, the police admitted her immediately in gaon BP Civil Hospital. gaon Police said that the girl was brought in a tempo by one Moinul Islam from Jagiroad in Morigaon district to work at a function on wage basis in gaon town. But instead of providing work, Moinul allegedly sexually harassed her in the tempo and thereafter threw her from the tempo. Police have registered a case in Itachali police outpost and also started investigation. Sources added that the statements of the girl have puzzled the investigation officer as once she said her house was at Jagiroad and later she said that her house was at Jurabari.
