Mishra briefs Vice Air Chief on ‘payback to society’ mission

ITANAGAR, June 8: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra met the Vice Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal SB Deo and briefed him about his initiative to form the ‘Payback to the Society Arunachal Pradesh’ group of serving armed forces officers of the State.

Mishra informed Deo that the group of serving defence forces officers, including the lady officers from Arunachal Pradesh, who have on his request formed the group that would visit schools and colleges in their home State and act as catalyst to motivate the youth to excel in life and join the Indian Armed forces in officer cadre.

The Governor requested the Vice Chief to spare these officers for a few days in a year so that they could visit Arunachal Pradesh for their ‘Social Mission’ of payback to society.

Deo assured the Governor that he would positively cooperate with the group and would be happy to contribute in shaping the future of the state’s youth, a Raj Bhawan communiqué said.
