Itanagar, May 30: 14-year boy Nimulya Kaling has been united with his parents nearly one year after he was handed over to Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women-cum-AP State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCW-cum-APSCPCR), Itanagar by District Child Protection Unit of Dibrugarh in neighbouring Assam. The APSCW had in December 2017 through a notification requested people to help in finding out the parents of the rescued boy, who was handed over to the Commission on August 4 last year. Finally, the Commission with the help of CDPO N Tangha and Anganwadi workers of Bordumsa-Diyun, Changlang district could trace out the parents of the boy – father Ranjan Chakma and mother Shanti Shoba Chakma – at Diyun’s Dumpani Block-III. The boy was handed over to his legal guardian in the APSCW office premises here on Tuesday, informed the Member Secretary of the Commission Yame Higio.
