Missing person's body recovered

DEMOW, June 27: Near Demow at Dekhari Mohmora Tea Estate, a body was recovered on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Karmakar (35), son of Nimai Karmakar and a resident of 9 No Line in Thowra Tea Estate. Some of the farmers of the tea estate had gone to work in the fields on Monday morning and saw the body in a garbage dump. With the help of Village Defense Party (VDP) they immediately informed the Moran Police Station and the Moran Police recovered the body.   The family members of Manoj immediately came and identified the body. Manoj had been missing since June 22.  The Thowra Tea Estate labourers had gheraoed the Moran Police Station on June 25 regarding the missing of Manoj Karmakar. They suspected that Manoj Karmakar might have been murdered and during the investigation of Moran Police, they arrested Suresh Bhuyan and Sanjib Orang, residents of Bezapathar Deodhai Gaon on June 25 and both of them were Manoj’s friends. Both of them were produced before the court on Monday.
