Mittal new Tawang DC

Itagar, May 7: Kashish Mittal, an AGMU cadre IAS officer of 2011 batch has been appointed as deputy commissioner of crisis-hit Tawang district with immediate effect. Consequently Dully Kamduk is relieved from the charges of DC Tawang with a direction to leave the border district without any further delay and report to chief secretary for further posting, an official order issued today by in charge chief secretary said here. On May 2 last Mittal was appointed as OSD to supervise the law and order situation at Tawang after two persons died in police firing, and also to initiate peace process by involving all sections of the society. Deputy Chief Minister Kameng Dolo, who also holds the Home portfolio, on May 4 last suspended Kamduk along with SP Anto Alphanse and OC of Tawang police station Lam Dondhup for their ‘inept’ handling of the tense situation in the district.
