Mizoram Elections: Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah to visit poll-bound state today

Aizawl: Congress president Rahul Gandhi and BJP stalwart Amit Shah would be in poll-bound Mizoram on Tuesday to help their parties chance in the November 28 election.

BJP sources said Monday that Shah would land at the Lengpui air terminal close Aizawl and visit southernmost Mizoram's Lawngtlai, Myanmar-fringe Champhai and Assam outskirt Vairengte by helicopter where he would address open arouses.

He would come to Aizawl from Vairengte and discharge the BJP's vision archive for the state before leaving for Delhi.

Congress leaders said that Rahul Gandhi would arrive at the Lengpui air from where he would go to Champhai to address a decision rally and come back to Aizawl to address an open gathering later.

Police said that security was augmented in perspective of the visit of the two pioneers who are both named 'Z-in addition to class'.

Polls for the 40-seat Mizoram Assembly is scheduled for November 28.

Mizoram is the only state where Congress is in power in the North-East at present and consequently its incredible test for the party to guard its citadel here .
