Monitoring-Cum-Implementation Committee Steps in to Resolve Water Crisis

Shillong: Monitoring-Cum-Implementation Committee (MCIC) president Sanbor Shullai convened a public meeting at CERA office Jhalupara Cantonment on February 2 to resolve the public complaint regarding water crisis in the entire Shillong Cantonment Area.

The meeting was attended by the ward members, president of Jhalupara village council, NGO’s and leaders of various religious organizations.

During the meeting, Shullai while addressing the long pending water problem, handed over a approval letter from the PHE Department to the Senior Engineer of the Shillong Cantonment Board. The letter envisages upgrade of the existing water pipeline from the same source to improve and increase supply of water to the entire Shillong Cantonment Area.
