Around 71% of companies globally and 81%India assume that providing versatile working allows them to expand their talent pool, the survey showed. In fact, many (77% globally and 81% in India) businesses are adapting to boost talent retention by introducing versatile working.

From an employee’s point of view, one-third of individuals globally said versatile working is thus vital, they would rate it over having an additional prestigious role (32% globally and 49% in India).

“Perhaps this is due to an increasing focus on work/life balance:flexible-working is seen to improve this balance by 78% globally and 86% in India,” the statement said.
