MPUF set 15 day deadline for the government on VAB

SHILLONG, Nov 5: The Meghalaya People United Front (MPUF) an NGO from Jaintia Hills has set a 15 day deadline for the state government to immediately do something regarding the Village Administration Bill (VAB) which is lying pending with the central government. The MPUF have also threatened mass agitation if the government fails to meet their demand within the timeline set by them.

Speaking to newsmen after the conclusion of the Massive Public Rally called by the Synjuk Ki NongsynsharShnongKaBri U Hynnniewtrep (SNSBH) here on Thursday, D. Laloo President MPUF said, “We are not satisfied nor happy with the decision taken by the Synjuk today and we feel the people of Khasi, Jaintia have been betrayed by theses traditiol heads.”

The MPUF President also disagreed with the decision of the Synjuk to give a one month deadline for the state government regarding the VAB.
