MSME conclave to identify potential of SC, ST entrepreneurs

ITANAGAR: Director of the NGO, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Government of India (GoI) P Uday Kumar said that under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), GoI, National ST-SC Hub (NSSH) conclave will be organized on February 18, 2019 at Dorjee Khandu Hall here.

Addressing reporters on Sunday, Kumar said that conclave is organized to identify the potential SC-ST entrepreneurs in the State and bring them to national level to promote, facilitate and create jobs.

He informed that the MSME has till date organized Thirty Seven such conclaves in entire country and the Arunachal Pradesh being the Thirty Eight, added Sikkim will be the next State where it will be organized too.

Kumar also said that “we have provided sufficient awareness to the people from the Hub and do expect the same in the State too.” He added that this hub will provide livelihood options to the budding entrepreneur and the NGO will also help financially to those by approaching different banks for loan.

“NSSH was launched to create a supportive ecosystem for ST/SC entrepreneurs by assisting them in capacity building and thereby enabling those to effective participate in public Procurement Process (PPP),” Kumar added.

Kumar said that, to realize the objectives of NSSH it is imperative to develop cognizance with all the stakeholders on implementation of PPP and in this regard the NSSH is being organized here at Itanagar, to bring together Central Public Sector Entrepreneurs (CPSEs), Industry Associations and state government in common platform and deliberate steps to be taken to fulfill PPP mandate for ST-ST entrepreneurs.

He also informed that the programme will be graced by Speaker of APLA TN Thongdok as Chief Guest, State Commissioner of Industries GS Meena, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing, India Ahok Kumar and many other prominent industrialists on the day.
