Mukhi to take charge of Manipur as well

GUWAHATI, May 1: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi is to discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur during the absence on leave of Dr. Najma A. Heptulla. A communique made with Raj Bhavan Assam from Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on April 27, 2018 said. The Governor of Assam will discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur with effect from the date he assuming charge of his office. Prof. Mukhi will take charge on May 2, a press release said.
