Multi Media Campaign on HIV Launched by State Minister for Health &Family Welfare Alo Libang

ITANAGAR: State Minister for Health &Family Welfare Alo Libang launched the Multi Media Campaign (MMC) on HIV amidst a huge gathering of around 2000 youth from the border town of Yingkiong. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Libang asked them to take all preventive measure to stay away from HIV/AIDS. He advised the youth to take care of their health quoting “Health is Wealth”, he also stressed that healthy youth are the future of the state. “HIV/AIDS can be prevented only through proper knowledge about the disease and awareness among the people about it, Libang added.” Director of Health Services, Dr. Moromor Lego, while attending the inaugural programme asked youth of the state to play a pivotal role in creating awareness on HIV. He also appreciated APSACS for their role in creating awareness on HIV through MMC.

Sacred Secrecy, renowned Metal band from the state enthralled the young audience during the MMC show while educating youth about HIV/AIDS and its preventive aspects. Siang Spring, local band from Upper Siang also entertained the youth through its performance on the occasion.
