Nabam Yakum appointed as Arunachal Pradesh Mohila Congress Committee (APMCC) President

Itanagar, July 29: All India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi has approved the appointment of Nabam Yakum as the president of the Arunachal Pradesh Mohila Congress Committee (APMCC). Prior to her appointment to the post, Yakum had been working as the in-charge of the APMCC for sometime.

The newly appointed APMCC president, who was accorded a warm reception at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday by the rank and file of the Congress party, sought cooperation from all, including the Youth Congress, the state NSUI unit, and the Mahila Congress workers and members in carrying out her duties and the responsibilities.

APMCC vice-president Yame Tok, APYC general secretary Kalley Rijuju, and APCC secretary Yabom Lomdak also spoke. They hoped her appointment to the post will further strengthen the Mahila Congress in the state.
