Nacional beat Garcilaso

Montevideo, April 26: Uruguayan football club Nacional won their first victory in the Copa Libertadores, beating the Peruvian Real Garcilaso 4-0 in the fourth round of Group F here. Wednesday’s result catapulted the Uruguayan team to the second place in its group, four points behind Santos, reports Efe.

The four goals that led to Nacional’s triumph were made by Sebastian Rodriguez, with a free kick, Leandro Barcia, Guzman Corujo and Gonzalo Bergessio.

Three-time Copa Libertadores champion (1971, 1980 and 1988), the home team jumped onto the court determined to win the match and aware that a defeat would leave them virtually out of the competition, hence from the first minutes they attacked the rivals. IANS
