Naga Political Issues to be solved after LS Polls- Paswan

Guwahati: The Naga political issue will be resolved on priority basis under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Lok Sabha polls, announced Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sanjay Paswan on Tuesday.

Paswan said that the Naga issues will be sorted out in the second regime of the BJP led NDA government. "Our special team of the party which also includes National General Secretary of North East Ram Madhav is looking on the issue and that it will be resolved after the Lok Sabha polls," said Paswan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that the issue will be resolved and pointing to his statement, Paswan said that the Prime Minister couldn't be blamed for any such lapses as he is trying to solve the problem sincerely and will be sorted out in the next regime.

The PM said that the Kashmir and Naga issues are two great concern and claimed that both the problems will be resolved on priority basis after the elections.

Talking about the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Paswan said, "Our party line is clear and no country in the world is ready to accept the immigrants or infiltrators. The fabric of North East shall not be disturbed and the party has a sense of gratitude for the people of the North East. The party is in touch with the people and bodies of the region to resolve the oppositions regarding the bill."

Paswan also stated that the party has decided to dedicate one out of the 10 pages for the North East and that he had interacted with 10 groups on issues like farmers, youth and women empowerment, inclusive development, governance, economic entrepreneurship, tourism, infrastructure, education, national security, cultural heritage, labour etc. to accommodate them in the party's manifesto which will help to make it a people's manifesto.

The BJP leader further claimed that the party's plan this time is to get 100 percent seats in the region and that the people of North East have instilled a great sense of confidence on the party. The party will overcome all seats of NE region in coordination with the NDA alliance and North East Democratic Alliance partners.
