KOHIMA: A huge quantity of seized IMFL and drugs worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed at Wokha on Saturday. The consignments were seized on different occasion by Wokha police. The destroyed consignments include MC Rum (174 cases), Vodka (10 cases), OC Blue whisky (13 cases), can beer (57 cases), MC Whisky (6 cases), Imperal Blue whisky (2 cases), 112 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon (SP) and 51 tablets of Nitrosun. In this connection, various cases were registered under Wokha and Bhandari Police Station. The consignments were destroyed in the presence of Additional SP Wokha, SDPO Imkongsungba, EAC (J) Imtinungla Lonkumer, OC Wokha and Prosecuting Inspector and staff, stated a release.

Economic Census at Zunheboto

KOHIMA: The seventh Economic Census district-level training workshop was held at Zunheboto at Deputy Commissioner's conference hall, Zunheboto, on May 31. During the programme, short speeches were delivered by Ajit Ranjan, ADC and DLCC convenor Zunheboto and N. Lhokiye Yeputho, DESO and Member Secretary DLCC Zunheboto, stated a release.

Release of hiring charges

KOHIMA: The Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Sachin Jaiswal has informed all concerned that the hiring charges for private vehicle and the allowances for government vehicle drivers and requisitioned during Lok Sabha Election 2019 will be released during office hours from May 29 onwards till June 15 at the Deputy Commissioner's office, Phek. However, No payment will be made after the mentioned date, stated a release. Therefore, all the concerned are to produce vehicle Requisition from in original to collect the payment.

Health camp held at Noklak

KOHIMA, June 2: Altogether 364 patients were examined and treated with free medicines at the two-day health camp held with the help of doctors and staffs of CHC and AYUSH hospital Noklak at CHC Noklak recently. Patients of all ages availed the service rendered through the health camp, the release added. While 18 patients underwent minor surgeries on the first day, major operations were carried out on the second day. The Principal Director who himself is a surgeon and Dr Yaren, gynaecologist at the District Hospital Tuensang carried out operations. A team of doctors from Kohima and Tuensang led by the Principal Director Health and Family Welfare, Dr Vikeyie Losu; Additional Director Dr Hotokhu Chishi; SPO (MHM) Dr Thanghoi Lam; and CMO Tuensang visited Noklak, Pangsha, ITC Dan and Wonsoi village on the occasion, stated a release. The Principal Director visited the health camps held at CHC Noklak and PHC Pangsha. He also inaugurated the Pangsha PHC, and the Sub-Centres at ITC, Dan village and Wonsoi village.
