Wokha DPDB meeting

KOHIMA: The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioners Conference Hall in Wokha on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Vice/Chairman DPDB, Wokha and DC Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon, who also welcomed new member from the Tourism Department, T Lichumo Kikon. SDO (C), Wokha, Lanusenla Longkhumer, highlighted the SAGY scheme for Nrung Longidang village for the year 2019-20 under Wokha district. The SDO urged all line departments like DRDA, Art & Culture, Tourism, Road &Bridges and DHO to put their resources for the successful implementation of the schemes, stated a DIPR release.

Jalukie sales day

KOHIMA: Peren Deputy Commissioner and Chairman ATMA, Sarita Yadav graced the exhibition-cum-sales day at Jalukie Town Daily Market Shed on Thursday. The programme was organized by ATMA Peren and KVK Peren. The keynote address was given by Dr Zeletgai Ndang, Deputy DAO Peren. Yezaho Swu, Deputy PD, ATMA Peren and KVK also spoke on the occasion. The programme was chaired by Hewoto Sema DAO & PD, ATMA Peren, stated a DIPR release.

Plastic-free nursery

KOHIMA: A Plastic Free Community Nursery was constructed at Kijumetouma by the village community sponsored by the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Kohima Forest Division. The nursery was inaugurated during a routine inspection by department officials. During the programme, DFO Kohima, Rongsenlemla Imchen, appreciated the community for their cooperation in forest conservation and also for raising the first plastic free community nursery in the entire district, stated a DIPR release.

Revised wages

KOHIMA: In pursuance of the State Government's notification, the Department of Labour has notified the revised rates of minimum wages for the scheduled employment with immediate effect from June 14, 2019 for all employees/workers employed in Nagaland as follows; Unskilled-Rs 176 per day, semi-skilled-Rs 210 per day and skilled-Rs 235, stated a DIPR release. The notification and the revised list of scheduled employment is uploaded in department's website www.labour.nagaland.gov.in.
