Nagaon Robbery: Robbers shot Woman from Point-Blank Range, Loots cash and ornaments

Juria: Sensation prevails in Juria after a mother of three children was shot to death by a group of six robbers at Nagaon’s Bogoriguri village on the wee hours of Saturday.

As per a report, the deceased woman identified as Hapsina Begum was shot for offering resistance during a robbery attempt at her own house last night.

Eyewitnesses claim that the group of six armed robbers had looted the resident of a jute businessman identified as Fakaruddin. It is believed that Fakaruddin’s wife was alone during the time of the robbery. She tried to resists when one of the robbers fired at her chest from point-blank range. The robbers escaped from the spot thereafter.

They managed to loot cash along with gold ornaments costing worth more than Rs 10 lakhs.

Local people took her to Nagaon for a better treatment in a critical condition, but she died in the midway of Nagaon-Juria road.

Meanwhile, Juria Police had reached the spot to investigate the matter. However, no arrests have been made so far.
