Narendra Modi Thinks He Can Run The Country Alone: Rahul Gandhi

Guwahati: Congress President Rahul Gandhi today lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that Modi thinks only one person can run the country while actually it is the people who run the nation.

Rahul Gandhi claims that Narendra Modi used to make fun of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh but after five years now Modiji does not make fun of Manmohan ji and today the country is making fun of Modiji.

Addressing a rally at Bargari in Punjab, the Congress President referred to sacrilege incidents in 2015 and promised strict action against those involved in desecration of religious scriptures. The Congress president is addressing an election rally at Faridkot in Punjab in favour of Congress candidate Mohd. Sadique who is contesting from Faridkot Lok Sabha seat. Addressing the crowd, he said, “I recall coming here when your dharma (Sikh holy book Guru Granth Sahib) was disrespected. And those who did wrong, strict action will be taken against them and I give you a guarantee on this.”

Congress general secretary in-charge of east Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi on Tuesday slammed the BJP’s ally SAD over the sacrilege issue while addressing a rally at Bathinda. Rahul Gandhi today while attacking the prime minister said that the PM thinks only one person can run the country but actually it is people who run it. Gandhi also raised the issue of Rafale jet deal and dared Modi to hold a debate with him on corruption.

Further, criticizing the BJP government for demonetization and GST, the Congress President claimed that these two decisions of Modi government had destroyed the economy and left lakhs of people jobless.

Hitting out at Modi, Gandhi said that Modi has not credited Rs. 15 lakhs in the accounts of every citizen which he promised to do so saying that the prime minister lied to people on this and on giving two crore jobs.
