Narendra Modi to Lay Foundation Stones of 3 Key Projects Under RUSA

Itanagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will digitally lay the foundation stones of three important projects in Arunachal Pradesh under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), a centrally sponsored programme from New Delhi.

The stone laying ceremony would be held on January 15 next by Narendra Modi an official release informed here.

The three new projects – establishment of an Engineering College at Tezu (Lohit district), the establishment of Model Degree Colleges at Piyong in Namsai district and Kanubari in Longding district, which was approved under RUSA.

In this regard, a review meeting on preparedness for laying of foundation stones of Model Degree Colleges and other projects under RUSA programme was held at New Delhi on December 10 last, the release informed.

Since the launch of RUSA programme in 2013-14, Arunachal Pradesh has been immensely benefited and many government colleges of the state have received grants under this programme.

As the funding of RUSA programme is based on outcome and performance, the fund received so far, from union Human Resource Development ministry, have been judiciously utilized and a good number of assets created in the colleges, the release added.
