National Peoples’ Party not to contest in Arunachal East seat

Itanagar: The Conrad Sangma-led National Peoples’ Party (NPP) on Friday has decided not to field its candidates from the Arunachal East Parliamentary constituency. The party already fielded Khyoda Apik as its candidates from Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency, party State unit president Gicho Kabak informed. The NPP also during the day, released the second list of candidates. In the second list, the party announced names of candidates including Nabam Vivek from Doimukh Assembly seat, Kipa Kanyi (Nyapin-Sangram) and Tainam James Jugli from Nampong Assembly constituency. A total of 32 candidates have been fielded by the party to contest in the Assembly seats including 20 newcomers.
