National Pharmacist Convention on March 9 and 10 in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: ARPA (All Registered Pharmacist of Assam) organized a press meet to discuss certain important points in Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Conference Hall, Guwahati on Saturday.

Assam Pharmacy Council, are going to organize “National Pharmacist Convention” across the country for the first time at Guwahati, Assam on 9 and 10 March and a general meeting was conducted which formed an organizing committee.

As per the discussion, Munin Chandra Deka and Birendra Kumar Barman will work as a President and Secretary respectively in the convention.

National Pharmacist Convention Organising Committee’s Joint Secretary, Motiur Rahman said, “On the date of 23rd October, 2018 Pharmacy Council of India sat with various Pharmacist organizations along with the ARPA member and as proposed by ARPA, they are ready to implement ‘Exit Exam’ and ‘Pharmacist Registration Tracking System’. For this, ARPA would like to give thanks to Pharmacy Council of India through this press meet.”

“For the very first time Pharmacy Council of India are going to organize their council Executive Meeting in Guwahati in the month of March keeping in mind with the coming convention and sort out the various issues of Pharmacist of Northeast. We are very happy and thankful for this decision. Also, more than 3100 pharmacy delegations will participate in the convention out of which 600 pharmacists will be from different states and 2500 from Assam”, Rahman explained.

ARPA under “Assam Pharmacy Council” from different sector along with their respective organisation and their district committee under the guidance of Pharmacy Council of India are organizing the convention.
