NCHAC CEM reviews progress of development works

Haflong, May 10: To take stock of the development activities of various departments, NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa reviewed progress of development works of all the departments entrusted under the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC), along with NCHAC chairperson Ranu Langthasa and Executive Member Samuel Changsan in presence of Principal Secretary Naresh Ghosh on Thursday.

The meeting held at the CEM’s conference hall was extensively reviewed in details by the CEM and EM. Expressing dissatisfaction about progress of work and physical achievement by various departments, especially the construction related works, CEM Gorlosa strictly stated that those contractors whose works were unsatisfactory and slow should be served notice by the departments. There can be no compromise in quality works and that stress should be given on completion of all works within the stipulated time. He also gave deadlines to most of the departments for completion of works that were pending or had slowed down.

The CEM said, “All the offices should maintain hygiene and cleanliness.” EM Changsan suggested that development works should be efficiently carried out by the respective departments and there should be some mechanism undertaken in-order to check the progress.
