NDFB (S) linkman held

KOKRAJHAR, November 30: Based on specific information, the army and Kokrajhar police launched a joint operation in Dhanpur area on Tuesday and apprehended one linkman of the tiol Democratic Front of Boroland (B. Saoraigwra faction), from the village under Kachugaon police station in the district.

The apprehended linkman was identified as Khanda Basumatary (30) alias Bestw, son of Rajan Basumatary of Dhanpur village.  The joint team recovered one hand-made rifle along with a live round from his possession. He was involved in numerous cases of extortion, money collection and providing information regarding the movement of security forces to the banned organization.
