Nepal quake: Candlelight vigil held in Imphal

Imphal, April 28: A candle light vigil was held in Imphal on Tuesday over the massive earthquake in Nepal that has claimed over 3,800 lives.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister rendra Modi held a crisis magement meeting along with Union Fince Minister Arun Jaitley and Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Saturday’s earthquake, which measured 7.9 on the Richter scale, resulted in the deaths of over 3800 people in Nepal, while 72 people were killed in India.

The calamity, one of the worst in over 80 years, was followed by 55 aftershocks. ANI
