New building of District TB centre inaugurated

Kokrajhar, May 22: The newly-constructed building of District TB centre was formally inaugurated by the BTC Executive Member (EM) of Health, Ganesh Kachary in presence of several officers of the department. In this programme, Dr. J. Ahamed, Joint Director of Health Services, Dr. Kaushik Das, District TB officer, Dr. NR Biswas, Superintendent of R N Brahma Civil Hospital, Uttam Kumar Brahma, District Programme Officer, NHM also participated. In his speech, EM Kachary said the inauguration of the new building would help TB patients and doctors as well as medical staff. Dr. Kaushik Das, District TB Officer, said that at present there were 606 TB patients in the district who had been diagnosed till May 20.
