New building of hospital inaugurated

Haflong, April 19: The new building of Holy Spirit Hospital was inaugurated in presence of Rt Rev Bishop Paul Mattekatt DD (Bishop of Diphu ) as chief guest. Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner Amitabha Rajkhowa along with other officials also attended as special invitees on Wednesday. With the inauguration of the new building of Holy Spirit Hospital, Dima Hasao has achieved a new milestone in the field of health services in the district.

This was followed by blessings cum inauguration meet at the new building premises wherein all the speakers appreciated the endeavour of the sisters who made this noble task possible through their dedication, sincerity and of course love for the people of this area.

The hospital has 24 X 7 Emergency Medical Services, Computerized Pathology Laboratory, Out-Patients Department (OPD) In-patient facilities, 25 bed (IPD) operation theatre, labour room, maternity, immunization, X-Ray, pharmacy, physiotherapy, ultrasound Sonography, Ureteroscopic Lithotripsy, Acupressure/ Acupuncture Pain clinic, Outreach programme ECG, Endoscopy/ Colonoscopy and School of Nursing for ANM. The new building will have, in addition to the above facilities, a six-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU), six-bedded NICU and PICU and palliative care for cancer.
