New committee of Sangeet Chakra formed

Silchar, July 12: A new committee of Sangeet Chakra, Silchar, was formed at its 47th annual general meeting which was held on last Saturday. Niloy Kanti Dutta, general secretary, Sangeet Chakra, read out the annual report which threw light on the areas on which the organization will have to work hard. It was also suggested in the report that proper publicizing of the organization’s socio cultural activities has become must. Sangeet Chakra has been catering to the cultural needs and tastes of the people of this town since its inception in the year 1970. The main aim of this organization is to increase its members, holding of Patron Meet and elevating it to another level. The new committee was formed with Dhirendra Lal th as president and Niloy Kanti Dutta as general secretary.
