New Dibrugarh DC takes charge

Dibrugarh: IAS officer, Pallav Gopal Jha succeeded Laya Madduri as the new DC of Dibrugarh district. He took charge from Madduri on Thursday at an event organized at the DC office to welcome Jha as well as to bid farewell to Madduri.

Speaking at the event, Jha, an IAS officer of the 2012 batch, said that he was hopeful of receiving support and cooperation of everyone associated with District Administration while discharging his duties.

It is to be noted that Jha was holding the position of the DC of Sivasagar district before this. Additional DCs including Subhan Gowala, Sanjay Dutta, Sushanta Kumar Dutta and Dipu Kumar Deka were present on the occasion along with the other employees of the District Administration.
