New office building of Chirang DIPRO inaugurated at Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: The Information and Public Relations Department of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) got its own office building in the district level on Monday. BTC EM of Information and Public Relations department, Mritunjay Narzary inaugurated the newly-constructed office building of the District Information and Public Relations Officer, Chirang, that comprises five rooms and a conference hall, in the presence of former BTC Speaker Paniram Brahma, Chirang DIPRO Gagan Narzary, BTC PRO Sameswar Basumatary, Gossaigaon SDIPRO Bigrai Basumatary, president of Chirang District Press Club, Abubakkar Siddique and other media persons of Chirang district.

The programme was started with a welcome address and then it was followed by a ribbon cutting and inspection of an office building by the chief guest Mritunjay Narzary and other dignitaries. While talking to media, Narzary expressed his satisfaction at the quality of construction work and timely completion of the new office building. “This new office building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 55 lakh under BTC State Own Priority Development (SOPD) for the financial year 2016-17,” he added. Regarding the construction of departmental offices in other districts and subdivisions, he further said that the department would take necessary steps considering the yearly budget provision of the department.
