New scheme to involve public in shaping new India: Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma

A Correspondent

Dibrugarh: “The Union Government wants to involve 10 crore Indian citizens as part of good governance,” said State Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in a press conference held for journalists on Thursday to generate awareness about the ‘Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat, Modi Ke Saath’ scheme.

Shedding light on the ambitious scheme, he said that the government, through the initiative, sought for suggestions, expectations as well as imagination for a new India from the general public across 12 different subjects.

The election manifesto will be prepared based on these suggestions, he informed. Responding to a question by a journalist on CAB, Sarma said that journalists were getting opinionated these days, when their report should always be objective. They should just look out for news and report them verbatim without adding any personal opinion.
