Dibrugarh, Jan 18: Inspector General of Police (IGP), North East Sector, Shillong, Prakash D. concluded his two-day visit to Group Centre Khatkhati on Thursday. During his visit he inspected training of recruits and witnessed various events and drill displayed by the recruits. He conducted review meetings on utilization of budget released by the government to complete various ongoing works in Khatkhati station. IGP Prakash D. also iugurated the newly-constructed CRPF Canteen Mall in the shopping complex of GC Khatkhati. He highly appreciated the initiative of DIG, GC Khatkhati Shahwaz Khan, DIG GC Khatkhati, for construction of canteen mall on self-help basis at minimum cost for the welfare of CRPF personnel and their families. This canteen mall is fully air-conditioned equipped with almost all needy items and latest electronic gadgets.
Addressing a gathering of recruits and jawans in a Sainik Sammelan held men’s club, IGP Prakash D emphasized importance of physical fitness, rigorous training, discipline and effective duty. He also presented the Best cost Effectiveness and Fincial Discipline Trophy for the year 2016-17 of North East Zone to DIGP, GC Khatkhati Shahwaz Khan.
The Sainik Sammelan and iuguration ceremony of canteen was attended by DIG, Shahwaz Khan, DIG, Range Khatkhati, Madan Kumar, Commandant ATC, Khatkhati Sanjay Kumar, CMO(SG), Dr. Kh. Shyam Singh, second in-command, Range, Khatkhati, Kamal Sisodiya, Deputy Commandants, SC Ghosh and Peer Mohammad, besides other officers of Khatkhati station were present.
