NFSA rice seized by agitated beneficiaries

KHERONI, March 16: Agitated beneficiaries of tiol Food Security Act (NFSA) of Rajadubi, Doyangmukh under Socheng seized 10 quintals of rice meant for the Rs 3 per kg rice scheme in West Karbi Anglong. The 10 quintals of rice were seized from the residence of Tez Bahadur Khoka. The people of the area alleged that the rice was lifted from the fair price shop of Hom Bahadur Chetry of village Rajadubi. Later, the rice was handed over to Kheroni Police. Few days back in Doyangmukh, people had alleged that  fair price shop owner Dulan Biswas had not distributed the Rs 3 per kg rice among the beneficiaries in his area at Doyangmukh.
