NIPER Observes Foundation Day

GUWAHATI, Sept 8: The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati celebrated its 10th foundation day on September 16 with a day long program in Guwahati.

In his welcome address, Dr USN Murty, Director, NIPER-Guwahati, emphasized the challenges that NIPER-Guwahati faced during its journey of 10 years, the future vision and scientific exploration set forward for taking the Institute in the years ahead. He further emphasized on research works related to the current health care needs and forecasted the adaptation of NIPER-Guwahati to fulfill the responsibility relegated onto it.

Attending the function as chief guest, Dr Gitanjali Batmanabane, Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar highlighted the pivotal role played by the NIPER, Guwahati to undertake community-based research projects for the benefits of the people living in this region.

During the function, Dr VGM Naidu, Dean and Dr Utpal Mohan, Asst Prof were awarded Best Publication and Best External Cash Flow awards, respectively. The programme was concluded with prize distribution followed by cultural programme by the artistes of Regional Outreach Bureau (Songs and Drama Division) Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
