Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that the state government will not bow to the blackmailing tactics of the Confederation of Service Association of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) and that the government is ever ready to recruit fresh unemployed youths to fill up those jobs.

Addressing a public meeting in Kalaktang, the chief minister said that the state government will strictly enforce CCS rules applicable on pen down, tool down strike, leading to ‘dies non’ and even service break. The chief minister said the state government will also not hesitate to terminate the agitating employees even if that may extend to thousands.

He said the state government is not opposed to their demand and has only stated that their demands cannot be met at one go and will be only implemented phase-wise, depending on the financial conditions of the state, a communiqué from the CMO said here on Saturday. On connectivity to Bhutan, Pema said fund of Rs 21.40 crore has been sanctioned under CRF for the commencement of the project.

To check miscreants in the Arunachal-Assam border, the chief minister said that upgrading the Balemu CO office to EAC office was a long pending demand, which has been completed with its inauguration.
