Nominations for Dambuk & Roing Assembly seats end

ROING: Nominations for the forthcoming Assembly elections 2019 for the 42-Dambuk( ST) Assembly Constituency and 43-Roing (ST) Assembly Constituency (AC) concluded on Monday with nominations filed by Mutchu Mithi (NPP), Etra Linggi (INC) and Laeta Umbrey (BJP) for Roing AC and Gum Tayeng( BJP), Tony Pertin (NPP) and Vijay Pertin (INC) for the Dambuk AC.

The district also completed the first randomization of EVMs for allocation in the Assembly constituency-wise and segment-wise at the DEO level, in the presence of political parties on March 24.

A meeting for officers and officials of the Tax, Excise and Narcotics departments was conducted on March 24 by the Commissioner (Tax and Excise) Anirudh Singh in the presence of DEO Mitali Namchoom.

The Commissioner briefed the officials on the rules and regulations to be followed while the model code of conduct is in force. He advised all to focus on the work assigned to them during the election period. The Commissioner also stressed the need for the creation of awareness and public participation during the disposal/ destruction process of liquor seized during the election period.
