Noonmati Police Arrested Gamblers At Pattharquerry, Narengi

GUWAHATI: Noonmati police conducted a raid at Pattharquerry, Narengi on Thursday and arrested nine gamblers. They are Basanta Deka, 60, from Tihu, Mahendra Nath, 60, from No 2 Matghoria, Tez Bahadur Nath, 34, from No 2 Matghoria, Amal Rai, 25, from Dhubri, Rahim Ali, 37, from Boko, Bikram Boro, 42, from Pattharquerry, Jayanta Sharma, 47, from Pattharquerry, Dulal Barman, 38, from Pattharquerry, and Utpal Barman, 46, from Mukalmua. A case (228/19 U/S 13/14 of Assam Game & Betting Act) has been registered against them.
